Matt Poker

Privacy Policy

How Matt Poker handles account and gameplay data. Effective October 18, 2026.

What we collect

  • Registered accounts: email, password (stored only as a one-way hash), display name, and avatar (preset or uploaded image).
  • Guest accounts: auto-assigned display name and fixed guest avatar (no email or password until you upgrade). The same session, wallet, and gameplay data below applies.
  • Session data: signed-in cookies used to keep you logged in and to protect form submissions (CSRF).
  • Play and wallet data: play-money balances, ledger entries, table activity, and related game history tied to your user id.

How we use it

We use this information to run the app: create and sign in to accounts, show your profile at tables, keep play-money wallets accurate, verify email when you register or upgrade, and support gameplay and hand replay. Matt Poker is play money only. We do not process real money.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Limited data may be processed by infrastructure providers that host the app (for example database, email delivery, and the VPS) solely to operate the service.

Retention

Account, wallet, and gameplay records are kept while needed to run the product. We may clean up expired or revoked sign-in sessions, and we may delete stale guest accounts and related temporary data over time.

Your choices

Registered accounts can update display name, avatar, and password from the profile page while signed in.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. Continued use after an update means you agree to the revised policy. If you created a guest or registered account before October 18, 2026, continued use of Matt Poker means you agree to this Privacy Policy.
